Educational Background:
The conviction and a natural aptitude for science convinced me that the Applied Geology is the most fitting career for me. After a huge struggle and hard work, I managed to get admission for Bachelors in University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan; one of the top ranked university of Pakistan. My parent institution; Institute of Geology, University of the Punjab, is the oldest institution in Pakistan, offering Geology since 1952. I worked hard day and night to satiate my goal of acquiring admission there. After my enrollment, I proved myself to be an intelligent, hardworking, creative and challenging student which always led me into getting high grades. I have completed my Bachelor in Applied Geology with specialization in Engineering Geology from Institute of Geology University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Completing my bachelor’s degree at University of the Punjab polished my inner strength and gave me an expertise to work in a leading and diverse atmosphere. I learned about 25 sub-disciplines of Geology field during my Bachelor course, such as, Geomorphology, Physical Geology, Environmental Geology, Hydrology, Geophysics, Engineering Geology, GIS and remote sensing and Mapping Techniques etc. I also polished my software skills to be in compliance with the industry, like Kingdome suit, GIS, MODFLOW, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MATLAB etc. I have got maximum marks in my thesis from my external supervisor from the engineering industry. He admired my research work and also encouraged me to do more research in this field of study.
Curricular and Co-Curricular Achievements:
I always remained vigorous in curricular and co-curricular activities. On the base of that aptitude I was awarded with a laptop from the government under youth development scheme. I have participated many science research project exhibitions and qualified for the national level competition. My writing skills are extraordinary. I have won many writing competitions and awarded with the certificate of achievement by the chief minister of the province.
Reasons to Study in China:
China is quickly developing and emerging as a nation of quality education. China is on the rise: the country’s economic development is evidence of this. This economic growth is being followed by an increased focus on education. It is therefore not surprising that it is becoming a popular destination for international students seeking education. Unfortunately, my country Pakistan is not being in an excellent condition for more than a decade. This has put a great hurdle in all fields of life effecting education and research facilities the most. For this reason, my country is unable to stand shoulder by shoulder with the developed countries. A lot of work has to be done on educational sector. The new technological methods are not being introduced at my home

university. I want to learn them and practice them in my country so that the unawareness and unavailability of modern technology can be solved up to some extent. I strongly believe that doing Master at your prestigious university will widen my perspective in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS. Those perspectives will give me a stronger idea about the limitations of my own country and possible improvements that can be made. I strongly believe that Cartography and Geographic Information System is closely connected to human welfare.
Study Plan in China:
I would like to enroll for the master degree in Cartography and Geographic Information System. During my studies, with great hidden abilities in myself I will try to come up with the best of everything; to accompany the professors and university colleagues in carrying out research and exploring for immense exciting mysteries in the field of Cartography and Geographic Information System. I would like to gain deeper theoretical and practical knowledge in starting and managing most innovative projects. Enrolling in the Master program of Nanjing University would serve the best medium to gain more knowledge and to have a firm grip on what I already have. The background of knowledge that I have has its more advanced forms being taught at Nanjing University. Plans After Completion of Study:
I aim to share all awareness and experiences to my country people and I have a modest plan to teach at my home university so I can bring here the light of innovative knowledge as it is a need of today in the developing countries like mine. I want to contribute my knowledge and experiences with aspirants of my field and to participate in my country with my specialties and expertise in the industry with all the good knowledge I gain from your university.
I find it perfect and good for channelizing my energy, passion and aptitudes if I receive an acceptance.
